Be a diva with these socks from K Bell

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

Golf Diva With Hearts and Golf Club Diamonds socks from K Bell are terrific for wearing out on the golf course. The fabric makes them comfortable, durable and stretchy.

The advanced synthetic Sensura fabric provides the look and feel of cotton while offering all the performance characteristics of synthetics such as being kind to the skin, has an extremely soft and luxurious feel, dyes deeper and holds color much longer, wicks moisture away from the skin and dries twice as fast as cotton. It’s also gentle to the environment taking less dye, less energy, less water and less cost to produce than Cotton products.

Women’s golf fashions have changed a lot over the years

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

The key to women’s golf fashions is that you have many choices.

You can choose skorts (a la Michelle Wie), knee-length shorts, traditional skirts, Capri pants and traditional pants. The big golf-apparel manufacturers like EP, Tail, Liz Golf, Astra, Bette & Court, are making bottoms in many different styles and even fabrics.

The news about tops is very similar. The old rule used to be: A ladies’ golf top had to have either a collar or a sleeve. Tank tops have neither, which is why they don’t appear very often on the golf course. But in between tank tops and traditional striped golf shirts are lots of new T-shirts with no collar and lots of new sleeve styles. Stretch fabrics are and microfiber blends are the new fabric to be seen in on the golf course.

You may ask why is there such a big change in women’s golf fashions. Younger women golfers, ages 18 to 29, are the fastest growing in the industry. Golf fashion manufacturers have gone from traditional to trendy overnight it seems like.

Women’s golf fashions that are attractive

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

Early women golfers had to wear constricting outfits on the golf course. We’ve also had to deal with old-fashioned and unflattering golf clothing. Well LPGA golfers aren’t letting their femininity hold them back. Whether you like the all pink outfits worn by Paula Creamer or the super-flared pants of Lorena Ochoa, there is now a style just for you. Female golfers have become more fashionable than ever before.

Women would like to feel pretty while on the golf course. I like to play in skorts with some Lycra for flexibility. I’m also a fan of microfiber fabrics because I don’t look wrinkled after playing a round of golf. If I’m playing in the heat then I like to wear lighter colors so that I can deflect the heat and stay cooler throughout the day. A great place to pick up great golf fashions is at Lady Golf.

Ladies Golf Accessories

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

Shopping for ladies golf accessories can be a lot of fun, especially if you are a golfing fanatic. There are a lot of great accessories that you can buy. These items range from practical tools that you need as a golfer to must have trendy items.

The first type of women’s accessories that you can buy is a practical item. These items are designed to help the average golfer protect themselves and to protect their equipment. This category of accessories includes: sunglasses, visors, caps, head covers, umbrellas, and tees.

The second category is a technical item. Digital range finders provide golfers with digital technologies that help them to build their game strategy, determine how far they are from the hole, and to determine where they are on the golf course.

The third category is a course tool. These tools are designed to repair the damage and wear and tear on the course that you cause during a normal round of golf, as well as to help you retrieve your ball from the sand and the hole. Some of the items in this category include ball retrievers, divot tool, ball marker.

The first thing that you need to know is how to dress like a golfer. In the old days the men would wear socks up to their knees and pedal pushers that were elastic at their calf and of course who could forget the plaid! Well today golfing is as much about fashion as it is about golfing.

Women can wear bermuda shorts to capris to skorts to skirts and dresses. There’s a wide variety out there to choose from. Golf courses don’t allow jeans and that applies to both men and women.

Men don’t have a lot to pick from. They have to wear shirts with collars which usually means some sort of polo type of shirt.

Capri Pants vs. Pedal Pushers

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Capri pants are the latest thing in fashion over the last 2 years. You can think of capris as shorter pants or longer shorts. They are typically worn in warm weather like the spring or summer. Most people where capris when they are embarrassed to wear shorts or want to look professional but they don’t want to wear pants.

Did you know? The pants’ name originated from the Italian isle of Capri, where they were first made popular in the late fifties and early sixties.

The great thing about capris is that they are fashionable and at the same time they are comfortable. This is a great combination especially out on the golf course. Bogner, Masters Golf Fashion - The Choice to Win, EP Pro, Escada, Lilly Pulitzer, Marie Valois, Sportalm, St. John Sport, and Tail all carry Capri pants in their collections. They all carry something a little different for example EP Pro sports a floral collection for their capris. Bogner has a great cargo Capri which has many different pockets for storage of a cell phone, keys, and extra golf balls. Sportalm’s collection is very cute and feminine for the younger lady golfer.

Another name that you sometimes here capris called are pedal pushers. Pedal pushers originated from the type of pants being worn by cyclists back in the 1950’s.

Whether you call them pedal pushers or Capri pants, they are a great staple to have in your wardrobe and are a great fashion statement.

Functional and stylish clothes are a good mixture

Friday, September 21st, 2007

When I’m out on the golf course I want to have functional clothing but I don’t want to abandon my style while I’m out there. I of course don’t want to be too stylish and then not be able to hit the ball but I also don’t want to look like I’m dressed in men’s clothes.

I like some of the European labels like Bogner and Golfino because they know how to combine functionality with fashion. Golfino is a sporty style with elegance and is great to wear in any weather condition on the golf course.

GOLFINO Advantic Stretch Wrap Shirt

Another great one is a North American designer named Leon Levin. In the 1960’s Leon Levin developed the skort as we know it today. I love playing in a skort because it gives me the freedom of a pair of shorts yet the elegance of a skirt.

Sexy Golf Fashion

Friday, September 21st, 2007

In the last few years the number of female golfers has grown into huge numbers. Since there are so many more lady golfers hitting the links, the demand has increased for more attractive and feminine golf clothes. And not just golf clothes but all of the accessories that go with golfing.

Golf clothes for women don’t look like men’s clothes any more. They are now designed to be sexy yet still be in line with the golf course dress codes. Golf clothes are very chic these days. Obviously you don’t want clothes that are very tight but you do want them to be more shapely and less boxy.

Ralph Lauren does a great job of making sporty, chic golf clothes that hug your body and transfer moisture away from your body. They also have a great stretchy fabric that’s made for freedom of movement. Lady Golf has just added some new shirts and skorts from Ralph Lauren’s fall collection.
